Postponed Weddings Due to COVID-19
/We can only imagine the stress, frustration, and disappointment that COVID-19 has caused for all of the couples who have had to postpone their weddings. In this unprecedented time, we want to assure our brides we are doing everything we can for their alterations process to be smooth and to be completed in time for their new wedding dates. We are trying to work with everyone the best we can, and in order to do that we have the following guidelines and policies in place:
If you have not done so already, please let us know if you have decided to postpone your wedding along with your new wedding date right away at info@ettetailor.com
If your wedding date has changed before your first appointment with us, please email us to reschedule. Your original $50 Appointment Deposit will be transferred to your new appointment date, and will be credited to your overall alterations cost after your initial fitting like normal.
If you have started your alterations process with us and your wedding is postponed for around 6 months, we are asking that brides keep their appointments in order to insure that we will be able to complete the alterations. If unable to keep their original appointments, the new fittings must be scheduled within 2 months from the original appointment dates.
If your wedding is being postponed for a year or more, and you have only had your first fitting, please contact us right away, as we may be able to pause the alterations process until closer to your new wedding date, if your dress has yet to be sewn. If that is the case, we will schedule a time for you to come pick your dress up, as well as a new first fitting next year. If your dress has already been sewn, or you have had your second appointment already, we are asking brides to keep their appointments. If unable to keep their original appointment, the new fittings must be scheduled within 2 months from the original appointment date.
All brides that have postponed their weddings and completed their alterations more than 2 months before their new wedding date, we are offering a 30 minute refresher appointment that will allow us to assess if any additional alterations are needed. There is a $25 appointment deposit for this fitting, which will be credited to your new alterations costs if needed. If changes are required at this check in, we are offering 2 hours of work for the flat fee of $250. The second refresher appointment will also only be 30 min. Please note that resizing either smaller or larger isn’t always possible depending on the dress, and will be determined during a fitting.
If you are unable to store your dress yourself, we have limited first come, first serve storage available at $40 per month, plus a $150 preservation fee if the wedding date is past January 1st, 2021.
